How many individuals grace your day with their help and service? Maybe it starts with a bus driver, a crossing guard, or a barista. By midday, you may have crossed paths with dozens of helpers. The security at your office building, the mall, or at the bank. An administrative person at work or at the kids’ school. The sales clerks, the custodians, maintenance workers, or the grounds crew.

Too often, we forget to make eye contact and to extend ourselves. This week, change your tune by celebrating Random Acts of Kindess. We call it serving the servant. Not only will these kind gestures make someone else’s day, they will make yours, too!

Bring some Heavenly Magic to the helpers who touch your life. Here’s how:

Heavenly Magic Bars for Helpers

So many people help us everyday. Who would YOU like to surprise today with a little magic?

Ingredients:
1 stick of unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups graham cracked crumbs (one package)
1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
3 Heath bars crushed
1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped pecans
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Use 13×9-inch pan.
Combine graham crackers with butter and press in to bottom of pan.
Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture.
Sprinkle crushed Heath bar pieces evenly, followed by the chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts.
Press down firmly with your clean hand.
Bake 20 minutes and rotate pan. Bake another five minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool completely.
Cut into bars and place in the refrigerator prior to packaging.
Package a few bars in each decorative bag and distribute to the helpers who make your day — and your life! — go smoothly.
